SUMMARY OF POSITION: You will work with crews and execute Landscape Construction projects by providing labour and will coordinate with your foreman and/or lead hand to ensure the completion of projects within budget and timelines; 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Good work ethic and punctuality;
  • Ability to work in outdoor environment;
  • Good oral and written communication skills to work with other employees and trades;
  • Good customer service skills when speaking to clients;
  • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety Act to ensure a safe work environment, participate tool box talks and follow the company health and safety policy.
  • Good understanding of landscape materials for hardscape and softscape materials and installation procedures an asset;
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license;

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Works under Foreperson/Construction manager instructions; Organizes tools and materials to execute scope of work as per instruction and/or drawings; Follows all health and safety requirements.  Will attend weekly tool box talks and sign minutes of meetings;

Perform general labour where required on work locations including but not limited to digging, planting, carrying material, laying interlock, laying sod, brick, concrete work, cleanup of site; Able to operate tools and machinery; Ensure final project is complete to scope of work requested, free from defects or issues; Ensure attention to detail when receiving and following instruction; Organization of all documentation throughout duration of projects to be forwarded to foreperson; Responsible for assisting in inventory control measures of materials, equipment & tools; Responsible to adhere to company policies and procedures.
