We service the Golden Horseshoe area, working anywhere from Burlington to Hamilton to Niagara Falls. SUMMARY: The Estimator is responsible to prepare cost estimates by communicating with suppliers and sub-contractors and by analyzing designs and requirements provided by design team. The Estimator is also responsible for creating accurate contracts and contract addendums.
HOURS: 8 AM – 5 PM, five days per week, increased/decreased as needed
REPORTS TO: CEO and CFO

ROLES:
-Create accurate estimates
-Create accurate contracts and contract addendums
-Update pricing into estimating software
-Update company sales planner
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Prepare work to be estimated by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications, and related documents
-Identify labor, material, sub-contractor, and time requirements for estimates
-Manage sub-contractors and suppliers during the sales process and ensure they have WSIB clearance
-Ensure that estimates are prepared accurately and on time
-Create contracts for work to be completed
-Ensure accurate purchase orders are created for upcoming construction projects
-Create contract addendums where applicable
-Prepare for and meet with CEO on a weekly basis to report on progress
-Regularly input updated pricing into estimating software to generate quotes
-Receive and label invoices and compare to purchase orders
-Update company sales planner on a weekly basis
-Active in furthering education for position
REQUIREMENTS:
-5 years of Estimating Experience
-5 years of Construction Experience
-Experience with Dynascape and LMN is an asset, but not required
-Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Building and Construction Sciences is preferred
-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, including Excel, and Word
