Ghent Landscape is looking for a full-time Landscape Designer to join our sales team. You will be working directly with the VP of Design to assist with sales leads and landscape designs. This position requires a candidate who is positive, creative, and passionate about creating beautiful landscapes. This position is available immediately. Co-op opportunity available.
Salary: $40,000 - $50,000, depending on experience, plus commission

Responsibilities
- Professionally service sales leads in a timely manner
- Prompt, informative and detailed communications with current and potential clients
- Create unique, functional and inspired landscape designs
- Draft both softscape and hardscape designs
- Regularly communicate with sales team, designers and management
- Collect deposits and final payments
- Compliance with company health and safety training and reporting requirements
- Other duties will be assigned as required
Desired Skills and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a sales/customer service capacity
- Post secondary education in landscape design or architecture is an asset
- Previous landscape and/or carpentry experience is a strong asset
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions
- Capacity to think creatively and the confidence to follow through on ideas
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to excel in a deadline driven environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- Must be enthusiastic and willing to learn
- Must be punctual and personable
- Excellent team player
- Must obtain WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training
