Summary

The Horticulturist is responsible for assisting with the designing and building of seasonal floral arrangements. With sound horticulture experience, the Horticulturalist will interpret and build landscape designs, enhance existing designs, and collaborate effectively with their team to execute work efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Design seasonal floral displays and assist in the planting and maintenance

  • Accurately complete required documentation on time

  • Be flexible and improvise in a dynamic environment
  • Operate company vehicles, equipment and hand tools

  • Handle high pressure situations and demonstrate strong time management skills

Qualifications

  • Must have informal/formal training and experience in the field of Horticulture, Landscape Design / Construction or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a landscaping position
  • Strong knowledge in landscaping tools, equipment, plant care and identification, specifically trees, shrubs, and perennials
  • Experience in a team leader position and capable of coaching a small crew
  • Valid 'G' driver's license, experience with operating a cube van and 1 tonne dump truck, and a clean abstract
  • Skid Steer/Bobcat operation experience is an asset
