Interior Landscape Technician & Landscape Crew

JOB TITLE – INTERIOR LANDSCAPE TECHNICIAN

Part-Time (with opportunity to also join exterior landscape teams)

 2021 Season

Reports to:  Operations Management Team

 Responsibilities        

• Oversee the ongoing maintenance and plant installations for Urban Garden’s interior planting division. All sites commercial/office/lobby spaces.
• Carry out site visits on a weekly or bi-weekly basis: managing fertilization, insect/disease management, cleaning, water monitoring, planting, and transplanting. Ensure all spaces remain well manicured and plant material consistently healthy.
• Assist with ordering, picking up (from nurseries), or delivering plants.
• Report any deficiencies to Urban Garden, communicate property managers and building personnel and resolve and quality issues with the interior landscape.
• Ensure all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with government and company PPE standards.

NOTE:  Interior planting jobs are usually considered part time duties and there may be times when assistance is needed in other UG divisions (Maintenance, planting etc.), or the opportunity to work part time in these divisions for the season.  (Dependant on other landscape experience)

Key Requirements

• Strong knowledge of interior/tropical plant material, including installation practices, maintenance, and commercial/office plant care experience.
• General landscape maintenance (exterior) and plant knowledge an asset.
• Valid G Drivers Licence & Clean Drivers Abstract: With the ability to drive larger vehicles in the city and GTA area.
• Ability to work independently and follow a schedule efficiently.

This is a part-time seasonal position, which entails 1-2 days per week.
