As the Landscaping / River Finishes Project Manager, you will lead the responsibility for managing the next level of subcontractor implementation work involving the completion of river finishes for the Port Lands Flood Protection (PLFP) Waterfront Toronto project. Project work includes stone, bioengineering, landscaping, plantings, etc.
You will specifically work for the next 8 to 18 months on one of Canada’s highest profile environmental remediation projects, preparing you for many more such projects with the QM team in the future.
Key Duties:
Ensuring the project is executed in accordance with client contract (including sub-contracts or contract cganges)
Planning, scheduling and preparing for upcoming works
Identifying changes to site conditions
Ensuring the project meets or exceeds key performance indicators
Monitoring / guiding execution (budget, schedule, quality)
Overseeing on-site project resources, both human and capital
Managing client relationships
Change order management
Project official communications/documentation
Ensuring / optimizing job profitability and financial performance
Providing information for the creation of accurate purchase orders and managing the purchase order process
Key Qualifications:
Required: Bachelor’s degree, five (5) years of experience and following demonstrated capabilities
Managing and implementing work involving the completion of river finishes, including stone, bioengineering, landscaping, plantings, etc.
Project management & contract management
Leadership skills, with the ability to lead site teams and subcontractors
Problem solving skills
Preferred: Degree program related to ecological restoration, earth sciences or environmental engineering (Civil or Environmental) and experience in
Resource allocation and management responsibilities
Administration of prime contracts, subcontracts, and contract changes
