Your Duties & Responsibilities!

Landscape Maintenance

  • Maintain landscapes in various settings (strata, commercial) to a high standard.
  • Plan and organize daily tasks for your crew
  • Communicate plans and progress reports to management
  • Provide training, instruction, and feedback to staff
  • Perform various landscaping tasks (lawn care, pruning, bedwork, pesticide application, planting, etc.)
  • Operate equipment (mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers, etc.)
  • Provide friendly, helpful, professional customer service
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately and submit on time
  • Operate and maintain a work truck, stock tools, materials, and equipment
  • Ensure safe work practices
  • Continually upgrade horticultural knowledge through in-hours and outside education
  • Work cooperatively to foster a harmonious working relationship with all co-workers and other departments

Landscape Services

  • Install high quality soft (Plant, soil, sod, stone installation, renovation pruning, occasional maintenance type work, etc.) and hard landscapes (Pavers, retaining walls, wood work, irrigation etc.)
  • Maintain logistics of materials and equipment for each job
  • Plan and organize daily tasks for your crew
  • Communicate plans and progress reports to management
  • Provide training, instruction and feedback to staff
  • Operate equipment (paver saw, sod cutter, skill saw, plate compactor etc.)
  • Provide friendly, helpful and professional customer service
  • Complete daily paperwork accurately and submit on time
  • Operate and maintain a work truck, stock tools, materials and equipment
  • Ensure safe work practices
  • Work cooperatively to foster a harmonious working relationship with all co-workers and other departments
  • Continually upgrade horticultural knowledge through in-house and outside education

 

Your Qualifications!

  • Practical experience and knowledge in maintaining/installing landscapes and leading crews
  • Valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License
  • Industry accreditation (preferred)
  • BC IPM Pesticide Applicators Certificate (preferred)
  • Level 1 First Aid (preferred)
  • Punctual, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and deliver timely results
  • Positive and professional team attitude
  • Customer service experience an asset
  • Physically demanding, hands-on work
  • Self-motivated and passionate about horticulture
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
