Landscape Maintenance Manager

As the Landscape Maintenance Manager, your role will be to run a landscape division of ClubLink, you will be responsible for managing all landscape aspects of multiple commercial properties as well as the maintenance crews, including, but not limited to hiring, training, safety, supervision, and performance management. In this role, planning and managing the maintenance budget will be a key responsibility. Using detailed knowledge of landscaping services and best practices, you will ensure a smooth delivery of all services and overall client satisfaction.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of the commercial landscape maintenance operations, ensuring that staff are providing excellent quality workmanship at the various customer sites.
  • Lead, coach, and create an environment where the employees will be motivated to maximize their effectiveness in their day-to-day activities.
  • Plan and budget for each work site to ensure all aspects of the site is being maintained properly and within budget.
  • Provide job cost estimates for potential work locations.
  • Create work plans and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the various work crews.
  • Establish job descriptions and position standards for all positions.
  • Interview and hire all staff required.
  • Provide staff training and supervision.
  • Schedule, plan and organize staff daily.
  • Oversee transportation of equipment to each site.
  • Oversee maintenance of equipment.
  • Monitor and adjust operational plans as needed thorough the operating season.
  • Manage operational and capital budgets.
  • Actively seek new opportunities for potential work contracts.
  • Ensure all safety practices are being followed and that all staff is properly trained on all aspects of their role.

Qualifications:

  • A college diploma preferably in Horticulture or Landscape technology would be an asset.
  • 2+ years experience in landscape operations/management.
  • 5+ years experience in a supervisory position in landscaping or a similar industry.
  • Familiarity with all related equipment required.
  • Experience in landscape troubleshooting, including detailed knowledge of common turf/tree/pest issues.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Experience in a client-facing role.
  • Experience managing budgets.
  • Experience in sales would be an asset.
  • Relevant equipment and safety certifications, including WHMIS, CPR, and First Aid.
