Location: Hamilton, Ontario
Pay: $80,000 per year (Benefits after 3 months, Company Vehicle, RRSP, Phone, Laptop)
The Construction Superintendent aids in coordinating and supervising all construction activities. He / she will direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.

The Construction Superintendent aids in coordinating and supervising all construction activities. He / she will direct all field personnel to achieve completion of the project on schedule, within budget and with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications.
Responsibilities
- Closely work with clients to provide updates, timelines, and to identify any deficiencies.
- Monitor and control performance by evaluating forepersons and labourers on quality and quantity of productive work.
- Update Project Manager if timelines and schedules are not going to be met and suggest realistic timeline.
- Manage sub-contractors and Oakridge employees at job sites assigned.
- Orientate, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline when needed.
- Responsible for crew/site safety and ensuring safety tailgates are being completed by all forepeople
Qualifications and Requirements
Experience in scheduling, ordering, field supervision, quality control and job safety work habits;
- Experience in managing multiple projects and construction workers;
- Ability to read and understand blue prints and elevations
- Strong knowledge of various building materials used in the industry and plant material
- Valid Driver’s License with clean Driver’s Abstract;
- College Diploma or Degree preferred with concentration in Construction Management;
- 5+ years of successful Construction Management experience.
